BASF to increase pricing for Acrylic Acid and Acrylic Esters in North and South America

Published on 2009-06-26. Author : SpecialChem

FLORHAM PARK, NJ -- BASF will increase the selling prices for the following Acrylic Acid and Acrylic Esters in North and South America by $0.10 per pound for all shipments, effective July 1, 2009, or as contracts permit:

  • Glacial Acrylic Acid
  • Methyl Acrylate
  • Ethyl Acrylate
  • Butyl Acrylate
  • 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate

These increases are due to elevated operating costs from rapidly increasing raw material prices associated with tight supply in the propylene, oxo-alcohols and acrylates markets.
