BASF to showcase extensive technology offering at the 2008 International Builders' Show

FLORHAM PARK, NJ -- BASF will showcase a broad portfolio of products and technologies that help builders construct more durable, energy-efficient homes faster at the 2008 International Builders' Show, 13-16th Feb. , at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Visitors to BASF booth S11941 will see a broad array of products ranging from high energy-efficiency insulating materials, weatherproofing and repair/restoration materials to cooling load reducing metal roof coatings, durable, scratch resistant plastics for exterior building materials, EIFS and stucco wall system materials to termite control.

Experts from the following BASF's businesses will be available throughout the week to discuss how customers can improve their operations and buildings using BASF's technologies and products:

  • BASF Building Systems delivering customer value by providing experience, technologies and products that create real economic benefits for builders;
  • BASF Wall Systems providing exterior wall solutions with optimal design flexibility that allow contractors to build with confidence;
  • BASF Specialty Styrenics providing excellent weather ability and low maintenance performance for exterior applications with Luran S;
  • BASF Styrenic Foams supplying Styropor® heat insulating foam that simplifies design and yields cost/value benefits in building construction;
  • BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises delivering outstanding insulation performance and energy savings from below grade to the rooftop;
  • BASF Polyurethane Specialties supplying custom-formulated two-component high performance urethane systems for a wide range of construction applications, offering durability, energy efficiency, and design flexibility;

Experts will also be on-hand to discuss the BASF technologies and materials used in the Near-Zero Energy Home the company built in Paterson, New Jersey, that is more energy-efficient, more durable and faster to construct than conventionally built homes.

BASF is also sponsoring live demonstrations focused on building with structural insulating panels that will take place at booth W 3572 at the SIPA Village. In addition, on Feb. 14 at 4:00 p.m., in the Outdoor Exhibit area, BASF will host a VIP reception in honor of the U.S. Department of Energy's newest initiative called the "Builders' Challenge," a national program to encourage homebuilders to construct more energy-efficient, durable and healthier homes.
