BCC Predicts The Global Market for Adhesives & Sealants to Grow

According to a new technical market research report, ADHESIVES AND SEALANTS/JOINING AND FASTENING, the global market value for adhesives and sealants is going to grow. This market is expected to touch $40.8 billion in 2010 and $52.1 billion in 2015.

As per the report major segment of the market made up of water-borne adhesives, is expected to reach $18.8 billion in 2015, after increasing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6% from the estimated 2010 value of $14.3 billion. Hardening sealant is the second major contributor which is expected to grow at 4.1% (estimated $8.8 billion in 2010 to $10.7 billion in 2015, for a CAGR of 4.1). Third segment is solvent-borne adhesives, which will grow at a CIGR of 4.4 (estimated $6.9 billion in 2010 to $8.5 billion in 2015). The Medical segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.1% (estimated $1 billion in 2010 to reach nearly 1.3 billion in 2015). The construction segment will grow at a CAGR of 4.9%. From a value worth $4.8 billion in 2010 it is expected to reach a value of $6.2 billion in 2015.
