Bioflex Rx1267P Medical-Grade Silicone Gel Adhesive Product Protects Sensitive Skin from Bacteria, Moisture

Published on 2008-01-16. Author : SpecialChem

Scapa Medical has introduced Bioflex Rx1267P, a highly conformable, skin-friendly, transparent co-polyester film, coated on one side with a gentle, non-irritating silicone gel adhesive. Excellent for sensitive skin and neonatal care, skin therapy, wound care, and medical device attachment, Rx1267P can also be used for hypertrophic scar management.

Designed for long-term direct skin application, Bioflex Rx1267P feels like skin and offers increased elasticity and conformability over non-woven silicone gel materials. The 2 mil co-polyester backing acts as a barrier against bacteria and moisture, and controls the amount of air that permeates into the wound. This soft, repositionable product is supplied on a 5 mil clear film release liner.

The water-resistant silicone used on Bioflex Rx1267P removes easily without causing skin trauma. The adhesive will wash off with water, yet regains its adhesion when properly dried.
