The Bostik Findley Flooring Group is pleased to introduce DURABOND D-818TM Tack Strip & Multi-Use Urethane Adhesive.

D-818 is ideal for the installation of carpet tack strips, transition strips and metal stair nosing, while also serving as a superior subfloor adhesive for concrete, patches, wood, plywood and various metal surfaces.

Scott Banda, Product Manager - Carpet, Vinyl & Patch Products, for the Bostik Findley Flooring Group, said D-818 is a fast-setting, single-component, moisture-cure urethane adhesive designed and proven in a wide array of installation applications. "D-818 rapidly forms a flexible, tenacious waterproof bond and is resistant to temperatures from -40¡F to 180¡F", Banda said. "A multi-use adhesive, D-818 is ideal for the installation of carpet tack strips, transition strips, and wooden and marble thresholds, as well as for carpet glue-downs, just to name a few proven applications."

"If a contractor needs to power stretch carpet just two hours after applying D-818, all he needs to do is lay down the D-818 bead and spray a fine mist of water directly onto it," Banda said. "By simply introducing moisture to the D-818 bead, it accelerates the curing process from about 24 hours to just two hours." D-818 does not contain any chlorinated solvents or ozone-depleting chemicals, complies with all current state and federal regulations for Volatile Organic Compounds, and can be sold in all 50 U.S. states.

D-818 gun-grade cartridge options include 10.3 ounces (provides 95 linear feet of coverage for a ?-inch bead and 24 linear feet for a ¼-inch bead) and 30 ounces (provides 295 linear feet of coverage for a ?-inch bead and 72 linear feet for a ¼-inch bead).
