Bostik has acquired five adhesive companies during year 2005

During the year 2005, Bostik has acquired five adhesive companies in United Kingdom, Turkey, Australia and Philippines, representing a revenue increase of more than 70 Million Euros.

The acquired companies are :

  • CEKOMASTIK (Turkey) , the second largest Turkish sealant producer
  • BISCEM (UK) Professional Ceramic tiling business (formerly a division of RMC from Cemex)
  • AV Syntec (Australia), a leading Australian brand in woodworking adhesives and coatings
  • GLOBAL BRANDS, the leader in mastic waterproofing products and product assembly adhesives in the Philippines
  • Laybond (UK) is one of the leading players in the United Kingdom in adhesives and sealants for building activities and in particular for floor covering and roof waterproofing.

These transactions are part of Bostik's strategy of targeted acquisitions intended to increase its market share on growth markets.
