Celanese Announces Global Price Increase for PVOH.

DALLAS -- Celanese, a global leader in the chemicals industry, announced that it will increase the price of all polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grades by US $330 per ton. This increase applies to all applications in all regions. The increase will be effective for shipments on or after Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts allow.

The Polyvinyl Alcohol business of Celanese is a global leader in the development and application of PVOH technology to improve performance, create value and drive innovation in a broad range of industrial and consumer end-use applications including adhesives, building products, paper, textiles and more.
