CVC Thermoset Specialties Introduces ERISYS™ GE-4D and ERISYS™ GE-38

Published on 2010-11-09. Author : SpecialChem

CVC Thermoset Specialties has introduced ERISYS™ GE-4D and ERISYS™ GE-38, epoxy resins.

ERISYS GE-38, epoxidized polyglyerol, is a medium viscosity, aliphatic, triepoxide that is soluble in water, compatible with most standard epoxy resins at all concentrations, and can be cured using any standard epoxy resin curing agent. ERISYS GE-38 functions as a cross-linker of acid functional resin and as an epoxy resin modifier.

ERISYS GE-4D, distilled t-butyl glycidyl ether is an aliphatic monofunctional epoxy modifier. Distillation provides a high purity product with decreased chloride content and viscosity as compared to technical grade product. When used as a reactive diluent, GE4D will provide increased dilution efficiency and higher filler loadings. When used as a reactive intermediate GE4D will show reduced by-product formation and more predictable end product synthesis.
