West Paterson, NJ -- Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) is announcing its participation in CHINACOAT 2006, to be held at Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from 7-9 November 2006. Cytec will be located at booth number 1C729-734.

During that event, Cytec will launch several new ADDITOL™ additives and will showcase its latest developments in RADCURE® energy curable resins and in the new generation of tailor-made CRYLCOAT™ powder coating resins.

Cytec is launching the following ADDITOL additives:

  • ADDITOL XL6521, a wetting and dispersing agent that offers cost savings by providing higher efficiency and productivity based on 40-50% higher carbon black loading and manageable viscosity range.
  • ADDITOL XW6528, an acrylic resin that allows high loading capacity for organic and inorganic pigments, reduction in dispersing time, better gloss and significantly improved chemical and corrosion resistance properties.
  • ADDITOL XL6515, a modified alkyd resin which is an outstanding wetting agent with high pigment loading capacity, great colour strength and compatibility with a wide range of binders.

Cytec will also showcase its latest developments in RADCURE energy curing technology:

Cytec will present its new range of ADDITOL S100, S110, S120 and S130 in-can stabilizers that extend in-can shelf life and enhance in-can stability with no impact on the reactivity of the formulations during curing process. These new stabilizers offer outstanding performance in a wide range of formulations for UV-cured clear coatings, inks, paints and pigment pastes. They have matched or exceeded the performance of reference stabilizer systems during performance testing with difficult-to-stabilize orange and black pigmented inks.

Cytec's latest range of RADCURE radiation curable resins includes:

  • EBECRYL™ 8211, a well-suited resin for mobile phone coatings which provides very good adhesion and excellent hardness
  • EBECRYL 822, a resin making excellent top coats with good adhesion for vacuum metallization
  • IRR 658, a resin specifically engineered for mono-layer coatings for metallic paints to produce paints with high solids, good adhesion, high gloss and high chemical resistance
  • IRR 631, an excellent resin for outdoor resistance. It gives good flexibility, hardness and is tack free after water evaporation before UV cure
  • IRR 589, a chlorine free adhesion promoting resin which gives good pigment wetting and improved ink/water balance. It is recommended for UV litho inks on plastic or metal substrates as well as overprint varnish and flexo screen.

Cytec will also showcase its new generation of tailor-made CRYLCOAT powder coatings resins for both indoor and outdoor applications. This new range of resins is formulated to meet specific end-application needs and it eliminates non value-added performances or additives for the most appropriate "fit-for-purpose" resin.

On November 6, at the China Hotel, Cytec will also present two papers:

During the session entitled "Printing the Future - Status Quo and Future of Printing and Ink Technologies", Mr. Indrajit Bhattacharya and Mr. Patrick Yan will present "Ultra Violet Curing Systems for Tomorrow's Graphic Arts Market".

During the session dedicated to "Powder Coatings: The Way Forward", Ms Joyce Zhang will present Cytec's new generation of tailor-made CRYLCOAT powder coating resins.
