BAINBRIDGE, GA -- DaniMer Scientific, LLC will be an exhibitor in the triennial PLAST 2012, last held in 2009, at the Fiera Milano Fairgrounds in Milan, Italy. This international exhibition for the plastics industry will take place from May 8-12. The exhibition will be open to visitors as well as the paying public, and will feature industry leaders from around the globe sharing the latest innovations and ideas in the plastics industry.

DaniMer Scientific will have a booth at the exhibition, where they will display their products and offer information about their latest eco-friendly innovations within the bioplastics marketplace, including their renewable hot melt adhesives (RHMAs), DaniMer Resins, and extrusion coatings. DaniMer's RHMAs were the first of a complete family of adhesives derived from biodegradable polymers, and are manufactured using renewable materials. The DaniMer RHMA adhesives are designed for use in a wide variety of high performance requirements including case and carton seal, carton edge sealing and freezer applications. DaniMer's Resins, recently internationally OK Compost certified, are both compostable and biodegradable, enabling its end-user to avoid the cost of removal and land filling.

DaniMer's OK Compost certification comes at a time when biodegradable plastic products are in high demand. With the current debate on whether Europe should ban single-use plastic bags, DaniMer's products provide technology that serves as a proactive alternative option to the plastics accumulating in landfills and threatening the environment. DaniMer's biodegradable products will serve as the best eco-friendly alternative option for people to use in place of single-use petroleum-based bags.

"The PLAST 2012 exhibition is the ideal place to showcase our eco-friendly products and be alongside the more than 1,000 other exhibitors in our industry. We are very excited to attend our first international show with such renowned organizations in our field," says Scott Tuten, Senior Vice President of DaniMer Scientific. "It is also appropriate that the show is held in Europe due to the fact that products are more strictly regulated for their environmental impact, which we are seeing become an ever more emerging trend in the United States. We are always striving to be the leaders in our industry and set the precedence for innovative environmental preservation in bioplastics, which we have tried to accomplish through our various certifications."

PLAST 2012 is the largest exhibition of the year, with exhibitors from over 40 countries attending the event. DaniMer will be representing their innovative and revolutionary products in the plastics marketplace, while reinforcing their position as a leader in the industry and focusing on the marketing of DaniMer's biodegradable resins throughout Europe. DaniMer's European partner in marketing efforts is currently represented by CCR in Milan, a global consultancy in the marketplace for paper and bioplastic packaging.
