Dow Announces April 1 Price Increases for Oxygenated Solvents and Intermediates

The Dow Chemical Company announced that it will raise list and off-list prices on a number of products in its Oxygenated Solvents portfolio in North America on April 1, 2005.

"The combination of unrelenting high raw material costs and lower than required price increases for our solvents has prevented margins from improving to sustainable levels," says Martin Sutcliffe, global business director, Glycol Ethers.

"It is critical that we improve our margins so that we are able to compete for key raw materials and obtain the capital to revitalize our units to meet future demand," adds Pat Gottschalk, global business director, Solvents & Intermediates.
