Dow Corning Implements Price Increase on Pressure Sensitive Products

Published on 2005-12-09. Author : SpecialChem

Effective January 1, 2006 or as contracts allow, Dow Corning will implement a 6 to 8% price increase on its global pressure sensitive product line.

While Dow Corning has aggressively implemented continuous productivity improvement programs over the last 4 years, these productivity gains do not offset the considerable raw material cost increases. Escalating prices of platinum and rhodium metals have driven this action, along with global trends in energy, transportation and solvent cost increases. This price increase will enable Dow Corning to continue to meet expectations for technical solutions and reliable product supply.
