DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Raises Prices on DuPont™ Elvanol® PVA/PVOH

WILMINGTON, Del. -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) announced a price increase of $0.07/lb on off-list prices for all grades of DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH), effective June 1, 2005 or as contracts permit.

DuPont cites unprecedented and sustained increases in energy, and petrochemical feedstock and freight costs as significant reasons for this increase. DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol is used in a variety of industries including textiles, paper and adhesives.
