DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Raises Prices on Elvanol(R) PVA/PVOH

WILMINGTON, Del. -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) announced a price increase of $0.10/lb on all grades of DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH), effective Feb. 15, 2005, or as contracts permit.

DuPont cites unprecedented and sustained increases in energy, and petrochemical feedstock and freight costs as significant reasons for this increase. DuPont™ Elvanol® polyvinyl alcohol is used in a variety of industries including adhesives, textiles and paper.
