Eastman has announced that it has multiple underway projects to produce alkyl amines at the company's global integrated assets located in North America, Europe and Asia. The projects will allow the company to increase its capacity in meeting growing global demand. The most recent debottleneck was completed in the third quarter of 2019 and another is expected to be completed in 2020.
Expansion to Ensure Reliable Supply
The alkyl amines business is a strategic area for Eastman. The company invests in growth ahead of the demand curve to ensure reliable supply to the customers. Eastman plans to cover future demand growth in the market with the additional capacity through the series of projects.
Alkyl amines, a part of Eastman's Chemical Intermediates business segment, and are used in a wide range of end markets, such as home and personal care, water treatment and animal nutrition.
