Edward J. Ogle Appointed Manager of Metallic Monomer Manufacturing at Sartomer

EXTON, Pa. -- Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has appointed Edward J. Ogle as manager of metallic monomer manufacturing effective September 1. Ogle is responsible for all plant operations at Sartomer's Stratford, Conn., and Chatom, Ala., facilities. Sartomer's metallic monomers are used in coatings, inks, adhesives, composites, and elastomer applications.

Ogle joined Sartomer in April of 1992, and has held the titles of process engineer, technical manager, and plant manager during his tenure. He reports directly to Larry Athens, vice president of manufacturing.

Earlier in his career, he spent several years with Nova Chemicals in West Haven, Conn., as a project engineer and senior process engineer.

Ogle holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, Conn.).

Sartomer Company, part of Total's Chemicals branch, is a U.S.-based manufacturer of specialty chemicals. Headquartered in Exton, Pa., Sartomer provides a variety of specialty chemicals designed to enhance processing and performance characteristics in coatings, inks, elastomers, adhesives, sealants, composites, and other demanding applications. The company's product offering includes more than 620 monomers and oligomers, photoinitiators, polybutadiene resins, styrene maleic anhydride resins, hydrocarbon resins, and other specialty chemicals.
