IMCD Strengthens Partnership with BASF by Distributing Polyalcohol Products in Europe

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands -- IMCD Group B. V. has reached an agreement with BASF SE to act as the distribution partner for their Polyalcohol product range. IMCD will be responsible for servicing the small and medium sized customers within the European market. Polyalcohols are widely used as building blocks for resins in paints, coatings and adhesives. In addition to Neol®Neopentylglycol where IMCD has had a long lasting partnership with BASF, the new partnership includes Trimethylolpropane, HDO® 1,6-Hexanediol, 1,5-Pentanediol and Hydroxypivalic acid neopentylglycolester.

BASF's superior products and technology will enable IMCD group to further strengthen their portfolio offered by its dedicated technical sales executives to the synthesis market. "We will take care of the commercial relationship, technical support and logistics. IMCD Group views this as an important extension of the strategic partnership with BASF and we look forward to becoming the central point of distribution to a specified group of polyalcohol users in Europe", said Dirk Bark, IMCD Product Manager Polyalcohols Europe.
