SHANGHAI, China -- With production of specialty chemicals in China since the early nineties, EVONIK (formerly known as Degussa) is one of the most committed partners to the local adhesives and sealants industry, with 4,000 employees and more than 20 companies operating in the country.

This month, the 10th CHINAADHESIVE is opening in Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center (October 24~26). CHINAADHESIVE is the most professional exhibition in China Adhesive Industry, which is organized by CCPIT Sub-council of Chemical Industry and China National Adhesives Industry Association.

As an organisation truly dedicated to this industry, EVONIK will have one of the largest exhibiting areas of the tradeshow (Booth A01), and will also present a technical seminar dedicated to silane solutions for SPUR technology.

Organofunctional silanes have long been known to mainly improve adhesion and cohesion properties of chemically curing adhesives and sealants. But silanes can do much more: they are crucial building blocks to endcap polyurethane or isocyanate functions containing prepolymers (SPUR technology).

In this seminar, Ms Aimee Gao from EVONIK will uncover the investigation done on the reactivity of two secondary aminosilanes.

Both silanes are suitable for colourless, moisture crosslinkable adhesive or sealant binders with low viscosities.

The positive synergy between silane endcappers and special aminosilane adhesion promoters to improve crucial sealants' mechanical properties will also be discussed.
