Master Bond Offers New Optically Clear Low Viscosity Epoxy

Published on 2005-03-10. Author : SpecialChem

Master Bond Inc. recently developed a new two-component, room-temperature-curing epoxy for bonding, coating, sealing and casting called EP30LV. This compound is easy to apply and exhibits high physical strength properties.

It offers both superior dimensional stability and high bond strength to similar and dissimilar substrates. The hardened epoxy is an electrical insulator, and it has a service operating temperature range of –60 degrees F to +250 degrees F. EP30LV has a low viscosity and is optically clear.

It has a mix ratio of 5 to 1 by weight. Cures can be accelerated by the use of heat. This formulation is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or other volatiles.
