Oxford Advanced Surfaces (OAS) has been invited to speak at a key composites industry event that has been organized by Innovate UK, in association with the Knowledge Transfer Network event (KTN) and the Irish Composites Centre.

Joining of Composites

The ‘Joining of Composites’ event takes place on Tuesday, 21 March at the iconic Titanic Belfast venue – built on the site of the former Harland and Wolff shipyard.

The event will showcase the latest developments in composites joining technology and Terence Warmbier, its Business Development Manager, will brief delegates about how its Onto™ adhesion promotion products give composite processors and manufacturers a simple and effective solution when preparing composites for bonding to a range of dissimilar materials.

Terence said:

“Joining of Composites is an event we’re looking forward to taking part in because the topic that’s up for discussion and analysis is at the heart of the technology we’ve developed.

“Composites are helping to bring a number of performance and lightweighting benefits to various applications, but using traditional fastening technology can be restrictive and present complications when looking to achieve those targets.

“Our Onto™ technology has been specifically developed to solve the bonding challenges that are commonly associated with plastics, reinforced composites and other advanced materials, so that innovation can be maximized and great products can be created.”
