Paar Physica introduces SmartStarch analyzer

The Physica SmartStarch Analyzer takes viscosity testing during starch gelation to new levels of accuracy and reproducibility.

Coupling the outstanding and well-established properties of the Physica MCR rheometer with a new environmental system specially designed for the needs of starch testing, this starch cell offers fast heating and cooling ramps (up to 30°C per minute) for temperature-sensitive samples such as starch suspensions. A special stirrer is also provided to prevent sedimentation in the liquid phase.

Thus, the combination of the temperature characteristics of the starch cell with the precision and accuracy of the Physica MCR rheometer provides unprecedented reproducibility for the viscosity testing of starches.
