PGPhillips & Associates Inc. has acquired the Chemark Consulting Group, a consulting firm focusing on the coatings and related industries. PGPHILLIPS President Phil Phillips also said his company will adopt the CHEMARK Consulting Group name, effective Jan. 1. Howard Ellerhorst, who founded Chemark in 1975, will become a member of the merged business's advisory board.

"This acquisition will enhance our general management capabilities, augment our database, strengthen our contacts, and provide for a growth umbrella as we attract top caliber partners and associates to our company," Phillips said.

PGPhillips & Associates is a management consulting firm that concentrates on tactical and strategic activities surrounding the coatings, adhesives, sealants and specialty chemical industries. Its global client base includes product formulators, raw material suppliers, application equipment suppliers and end-users of coatings, adhesives, sealants and specialty chemicals. An incomplete list of end-user market segments that PGP routinely tracks would be transportation, appliance, electronic, electrical, coil, marine, maintenance, and specialty chemicals.
