RAMPF Presents PUR-based RAKU-PUR 32-3275 at Fakuma 2011

Published on 2011-10-20. Author : SpecialChem

The FAKUMA international trade fair for plastics processing is considered an ambassador for new plastics solutions. Resource conservation is and remains a key aspect that needs to be taken into account in future product developments. True to this motto, RAMPF Giessharze is using FAKUMA to present its portfolio of products and services relating to research into organic polyols based on renewable raw materials. RAMPF Dosiertechnik is presenting its perfectly coordinated machine solution for the reliable processing of organic polymers.

As suppliers of raw materials, products and machinery, the companies in the RAMPF Group are supporting customers in the development of a solution based on renewable raw materials.

System supplier RAMPF Giessharze is exhibiting at the WVIB joint stand, where it is presenting its solutions for sealing, casting, bonding and designing based on renewable raw materials. The starting materials for new plastics with improved mechanical properties are natural raw materials such as vegetable oils, maize, wood (lignin) and greases. "The challenge lies in the long-term development of organic polyurethanes", explains Dr. Schamel, Managing Director of RAMPF Giessharze. Visitors to FAMUKA 2011 are able to experience "Materials and Machines" from a single source in Hall B2, Stand 2203. Experts from both companies will apply a newly developed thixotropic soft integral foam "live" on a DC-CNC low-pressure mixing and dispensing system from RAMPF Dosiertechnik.

RAKU-PUR 32-3275 is a two-component system based on polyurethane that contains no solvents or plasticizers. What sets this new system apart is its water absorption of less than 5 percent. Further benefits include its high mechanical strength, short tack-free time and therefore fast installation and high-quality seal. The compact DC-CNC dispensing cell is the optimum solution for the 2D or 3D application of casting, sealing and adhesive systems. The basic set-up of the fully enclosed DC-CNC is equipped with an integrated control cabinet and a 2-component material conditioning system. Further features include the Siemens Sinumerik modular control system and integrated process control for continuous monitoring of pressure, fill level and speed. The mixing and dispensing system can optionally be equipped with a high-pressure rinse agent recycling system, high-pressure water rinsing or various items of automation equipment depending on the application in question.

About RAMPF

Since 1980 RAMPF Giessharze has been developing and manufacturing casting resins made of polyurethane (PUR), epoxy and silicone with large success: Since the "One Man Show" of the early times, Rampf Giessharze has become one of the prominent enterprises within the range of the reactive casting resins. RAMPF systems are used for sealing, casting, embedding, designing and bonding.
