Rohm and Haas Announces Price Increase for Acrylic Based Emulsions for Packaging and Building Materials in North America

PHILADELPHIA -- Rohm and Haas's (NYSE:ROH), Packaging and Building Materials business announced a list and off list price increase for all acrylic and styrene acrylic based emulsions sold to the North American pressure sensitive adhesives, textile non-woven, construction, adhesives and packaging industries. The increase of 6-8% percent will be effective immediately, or as contracts allow.

All Robond™ and Rhoplex™ emulsions will be impacted by this movement. The increase is required to offset the continuing escalation in all major petrochemical feedstocks costs which continue to reach record levels.
