Rohm and Haas Announces Price Increase for Pressure Sensitive and Construction Adhesive Products in North America

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Rohm and Haas Adhesives and Sealants business has announced a price increase for all acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic and vinyl acetate emulsions sold to the pressure sensitive, construction adhesive, caulk and sealant industries in North America. The increase, which ranges from 7-9 percent, will take effect October 24, 2005 or as contracts allow.

This action is necessitated by the continued escalation in petrochemical feedstock and energy costs as well as volatile supply dynamics.
