Scapa 707 Silicone/Acrylic Adhesive Film for Industrial Assembly

Published on 2007-03-07. Author : SpecialChem

Scapa Industrial has introduced Scapa 707, a polyester film double coated with a silicone adhesive on one side and an acrylic adhesive on the other. The product features two release liners and is formulated for general purpose bonding, foam fabrication, precision die cutting, and splicing silicone coated papers and films.

Scapa 707 offers excellent adhesion to silicone gaskets, foams and sponges. This highly conformable tape contours well to intricate parts and provides good chemical resistance, excellent quick stick and holding power, and an operating temperature range of -20°F to +350°F. The product’s excellent adhesion to silicone foams makes it ideal for high or low temperature gasket sealing.

The high tack acrylic adhesive on Scapa 707 bonds well to plastic, glass and metal substrates, and is supplied with a silicone coated paper release liner to aid in die-cutting. The custom-formulated silicone adhesive is supplied with a specially treated silicone release film.
