MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Encountering continued and well documented cost pressures, the Industry Division of Sika Corporation has announced that selling prices for some of the division's products will be boosted by up to 12%.

"The petroleum based raw materials required to produce our company's products, as well as energy, transportation and other supplier costs have continued to rise. We believe these cost increases will persist throughout the remainder of the year and will see further pressures as supplies are stretched to meet the demand resulting from the recovery of this summer's devastating storms. This has left us with no option but to increase prices," said Bill Pringle, the division's senior vice president.
