Purethane™ A2018 joins Ashland’s growing portfolio of high-performing laminating adhesives for food packaging where improved metal adhesion and enhanced clarity are required.

Benefits of using Purethane™ A2018 are as follows:

  • Provides high metal adhesion for moderate-to-high levels of moisture
  • Temperature and chemical resistance
  • Superior clarity
  • Excellent adhesion to metalized and non-metalized films
  • Good thermal resistance (passed pouch making process with 2% Cat 104 crosslinker on PET/Met BOPP/PE
  • FDA compliance for use at room temperature conditions assuming a 2 Mil LLDPE barrier

Ingredient Testing of Purethane™ A2018


Purethane™ A2018 passed aggressive ingredient testing with:

  • 1/3 water, 1/3 vinegar, and 1/3 soybean oil
  • 10 days at 60°C
