Cardolite to Discuss Its Newly Developed High-strength Diols at FEICA 2019

Published on 2019-09-06. Edited By : SpecialChem

cardolite-diols-fieca Cardolite will be present at the 2019 European Adhesive & Sealant Conference and EXPO will take place at the Valamar Dubrovnik Hotels in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on Sept 11-13, 2019.

High Strength CNSL Diols and CNSL Technology

Cardolite will present a paper titled “Introduction of High Strength CNSL diols and Life Cycle Analysis of CNSL Technology” on Sept 12th at 2pm.

This talk will focus on utility of newly developed high strength diols, NX-9207 and NX-9208, in comparison to Cardolite 1st generation diols.

Water-resistance CNSL-based Diols

Cardolite offers a line of renewable, cashew nutshell liquid (CNSL) based diols that are very hydrophobic because of the long aliphatic chain of cardanol, and fewer ether oxygen atoms compared to typical polyether polyols (less hydrophilic).

This hydrophobicity provides excellent water resistance and less moisture sensitivity during cure with isocyanate for increased durability of the final polyurethane system.

CNSL diols combine the benefits of CNSL and Polyester technologies resulting in excellent solvent, alkaline, acid, and water resistance, and high physical properties such as tensile strength. CNSL diols can be formulated as is or as a building block for prepolymers.

Life Cycle Analysis Data of CNSL Products

The second part of talk will discuss interesting results of Life Cycle Analysis data of CNSL products. Please stop by our talk to learn more about this renewable technology.
