Dow Automotive Unveils BETAFOAMâ„¢ Renue, a Cavity Sealing Technology for Automotive

Published on 2014-08-06. Author : SpecialChem

When it comes to sustainable solutions, this hard-working foam hits several different performance targets. It's an efficient, customizable solution for body-in-white applications that you'll wish customers could see and appreciate.

And this is why. Made with more than 25 percent renewable-based material, BETAFOAM™ Renue polyurethane foam from Dow Automotive Systems provides a three-dimensional cavity-sealing solution that delivers better acoustical performance than traditional expandable baffles.

In fact, the two-component polyurethane BETAFOAM Renue provides improvement of one to five decibels and minimizes resonance buildup in vehicle cavities. It's also lighter weight, thanks to a 25 percent reduction in density, as compared to previous versions of BETAFOAM.

Design flexibility, low MDI emissions, faster reaction time and an extended processing window are all part of the package.
