Dow’s New PU Adhesive Makes Automotive Glass Replacement Quicker
BETASEAL™ Xpress30 from Dow Automotive Systems, a new adhesive for automotive glass replacement, provides the performance characteristics that installers prefer as well as a quick 30-minute drive-away time.

For the growing number of vehicles equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), this unique adhesive formulation also enables calibrations immediately after install.

BETASEAL Xpress30

  • BETASEAL Xpress30 is a single-component high-modulus non-conductive polyurethane adhesive with reinforced polyisotropic micro-network (RPM) technology
  • RPM technology enables rapid crosslinking for high initial green strength, which then enables the 30-minute drive-away time

"Dow Automotive Systems has more than 55 years of experience in automotive adhesives and we are the pioneers of automotive glass bonding, which gives us a leading advantage in the market," said Frank Billotto, Strategic Marketing Body Structures and Exteriors.

"This new material provides a high-quality OEM-grade product that benefits our customers as well as vehicle owners and operators."

30-minute drive-away Solution

The new product already is receiving accolades from aftermarket customers across North America as their now-preferred 30-minute drive-away solution.

The new product has just started shipping and is already edging out the competition at major automotive glass replacement companies. BETASEAL Xpress30 is available in a 310 ml cartridge, 600 ml sausage and our technician-friendly EZKits.

Billotto added that overwhelming consensus from current Dow Automotive Systems aftermarket customers and select long-term pursuits who ran trials are praising several features of BETASEAL Xpress30, including:

  • Hot and cold weather application
  • Dispensability
  • Tooling
  • Sag resistance
  • Improved decking performance
