Primer-less Adhesion to Most Substrates

This new Room Temperature curing adhesive delivers primerless adhesion to most of the substrates used in industrial assembly and provides durable reliability under demanding conditions.
BLUESIL ESA 8352 is a two-part material, curing & developing adhesion at room temperature on most substrates including:
- Stainless steel
- Aluminium
- Glass
- Polycarbonate (PA)
- Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT)
- Polyamide (PA)
"The development of this new product is answering to strong market needs. On one hand, an increased demand of high temperature flexible silicone adhesive solutions related to miniaturization megatrend (Resulting in an increase of continuous service temperature) and, on the other hand, the need of versatile products that are tuned easily in order to adapt with specific processing needs as well as assembly line speed", said Yves Giraud, Global Market Manager, Elkem Silicones.
Multiple Properties for Different Applications
This new formulation develops very quickly adhesion in such a way that the parts can be handled only 10 to 30 minutes after the adhesive has been applied. This handling time is adjustable as a function of the assembly line speed.
This material, by its exceptional flexibility, allows the assembly of substrates having very different CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion) over a wide temperature range (-45°C to 220°C).
In addition, the thermal resistance of this new adhesive allows a peak exposure temperature of 220°C and a Continuous Service Temperature of 180°C, ensuring durability in a wide range of applications in the field of industrial assembly of Domestic Appliances, Electronics and Energy devices, as well as Automotive components (for combustion engines as well as electric powered cars).
