Zurich, Switzerland – H.B. As a certifying body, RAL-Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme e.V. (GKFP) awards a quality mark to member companies who submit to the rules of the quality and test requirements in the form of voluntary self-regulation. The aim is compliance with the highest quality requirements in order to ensure the lasting fitness for use of the manufactured products. Members of the association are made up of manufacturers of plastic window profiles and systems, as well as manufacturers of seals, raw materials, film, bonding systems and machinery and contract laminating companies.

As well as meeting stringent RAL 716 certification, Swift®prime 4915 connects safety with performance. This new primer adhesive ensures window manufacturers can operate in a safer environment, as it is N-ethyl pyrrolidone (NEP) free and non-flammable. Plus, it provides excellent shelf life, machinability, flowing, bonding strength and durability. Also, it has a high heat resistance and a drying speed that enables a more stable wrapping process with a wider coating weight variation.

Typical uses for Swift®prime 4915 include vacuum and felt application on PVC and aluminum window profiles. Specially designed for the preparatory bonding of decorative foils using hot melt and reactive hot melt adhesives, it is particularly effective when used in combination with H.B. Fuller’s Swift®lock 4780.

Alexander Ritt, technical manager, H.B. Fuller, comments, “We’re a company that aims to change lives for the better. Our commitment to innovation brings together people, products and processes that solve many of the window industry adhesives challenges. Swift®prime 4915 is an excellent example of this. It provides a technology breakthrough in formulation, safety and performance.”

Whether manufacturers are creating window profiles for cold, moderate or hot and humid climates, Swift®prime 4915 gives them the twin-reassurance of safer working combined with high quality performance. Swift® is a trademark of H.B. Fuller Company (“H.B. Fuller”) or an affiliated company of H.B. Fuller, and is registered in European Community and other countries.
