Ingevity has introduced its new Altatac™ 1000 resin at the Adhesive and Sealant Convention and Expo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Based on tall oil rosin chemistry, this bio-based product is light colored, maintains its adhesive quality after extended heating, and provides a superior bond on surfaces that are difficult to adhere to.
Superior Initial Color and Stability
Altatac 1000 is designed for increased stability in thermoplastic hot melt adhesives, and demonstrates superior initial color and color stability compared to traditional rosin esters. This product is a sustainable tackifier option available globally that allows formulators to meet high-quality standards without sacrificing adhesive performance.
“
We understand the importance of low color in adhesive applications,” said Kim Meidl, Ingevity’s global business manager, adhesives.
“Altatac 1000 provides customers with an environmentally friendly, low-color alternative that won’t compromise adhesive performance. This product is ideal for applications where color stability and bond strength matter most, such as hygiene and rigid packaging.”
