New Easy Peel-off Adhesives from HERMA for Critical SurfacesHERMA has launched 42Rpp, 42Lpp and UV acrylate-based 42X easy peel-off adhesives for thermal papers, luxurious and critical surfaces.

42Rpp Peel-off Adhesive

The new 42Rpp peel-off adhesive does not penetrate through the thermal paper and maintains good legibility even after five months at 40 °C. This is an important feature as such labels are frequently used on reusable containers in intralogistics, and the durable legibility is a prerequisite for safe processes.

The peel-off adhesive does not leave glue residue after pulling the label off the surface, which allows users to apply thermal labels even to high-quality, fancy packaging without fear of unsightly residue being left behind.

The tightening of the adhesives after labelling was minimized by developing a multi-layer technology in which two adhesive layers with their own special properties are applied at the same time.

42Lpp Peel-off Adhesive

The 42Lpp peel-off adhesive has shown an impressive performance on numerous different surfaces, ensuring a good strippability from glass, metal and plastic. The adhesive is resistant to softening agents, and even after being subjected to temperatures of up to 65 °C, it retained its peel-off properties.

This property is valuable for in the glass industry, as the product does not cause “ghosting”- a piece of residue on a surface that had a label on it that may not be sticky but is still clearly visible and filmy.

UV Acrylate-based HERMA 42X Peel-off Adhesive

The new UV acrylate-based HERMA 42X peel-off adhesive, HERMA offers peel-off versions for special label materials for printers and label users due to its small minimum coating quantities starting at 1,000 square meters. Partial gumming can also be realized with this adhesive for resealable tabs.

Customers have a high degree of flexibility in choosing their label materials, allowing them to quickly test under practical conditions if a specific combination of adhesive and label material is suitable for the desired application.

In principle, the 42X ensures good adhesion as well as strippability on a multitude of substrates. At the same time, it offers optimum resistance against water, cleaning products and oils and showed no increased stickiness over time and maintains strippability over longer periods.
