Normet has launched TamSeal TG91 and TamSeal TG92, high performance and eco-friendly tail sealants for shielded tunnel boring machines, in the Normet TBM product range. The biodegradable and fire-resistant tail sealants are formulated using plant-oil based technology.
Eco-friendly Sealants with Low Material Consumption
TamSeal TG91 (Driving Grade) and TamSeal TG92 (First Fill) have low density and offer pumpability, allowing the wire brush chambers to be filled with low material consumption efficiently and economically.
The washout characteristics, adhesion and compressibility of the sealants are optimized through vigorous testing, mitigating wire brush leaks even with sharp changes in tunnel alignment and demanding geological conditions.
