Polyamides (PA)
Polyamide adhesives are based on polyamide polymers. The liquid and powder forms of polyamide adhesives can be applied with the help of a brush or roller or by spraying. Polyamide adhesives exhibit good adhesion to various substrates like plastics , ceramics metals , wood, fabrics and leather. The bonds of polyamide adhesives show good resistance to mechanical forces, fuels, oils, and mold attacks. In some cases, joints of these adhesives are stable at temperatures upto 150°C. Polyamide adhesives are used in the manufacture of machines and instruments. Hot-melt adhesives based on polyamides find uses in packaging material applications.
