BRUGGOLITE® E28

BRUGGOLITE® E28 by Brüggemann is a sodium salt of an organic sulfinic acid derivative. It functions as a thickening agent and reducing agent for emulsion polymerization. Designed for pressure sensitive adhesives. It can be used in redox systems in combination with all commonly used oxidizing agents. Shows increased reactivity, faster reactions and higher safety due to reproducible performance. BRUGGOLITE® E28 is typically applied in solution at a concentration of 3-5%. Exhibits decrease of VOC’s & residual monomer content and better filtration of emulsion polymer. Compatible with VAE, PVAC, vinyl acetate- acrylic & maleic copolymers, polyacrylate, acrylic and styrene acrylic copolymer. Also suitable for PCE, acrylic & acrylic ester latex, X-SBR and X-NBR, ePVC, PVDC, PVDF, ABS and specialty copolymers. Provides good alkaline and acid decomposition resistance. Complies with FDA §175.105 and §175.125 regulations. It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored dry at 25°C. BRUGGOLITE® E28 is recommended at a dosage level of 0.05-0.2% on total formulation for post polymerization.
