BYK® -012

BYK® -012 by BYK is a compound of foam-destroying polymer and hydrophobic particles. Acts as silicone-free polymeric defoamer. It is used for aqueous adhesives. It is an alkylphenol ethoxtlate- free and non-volatile matter. Highly effective defoamer for all commonly used dispersion adhesives. Eliminates foam during the manufacturing process and application. BYK® -012 is especially suited for polyacrylate-based dispersion adhesives. The product is mineral oil-free and is specifically recommended for VOC-free systems. It is acid and alkaline resistant hence can be used in a pH-range of 3–12. Its recommended level is 0.05 - 0.5% based upon total formulation.
