BYK® -333

BYK® -333 by BYK is polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane. Acts as a silicone based surfactant and a wetting agent.

It is recommended for solvent-borne, solvent-free and aqueous systems.
Its separation or turbidity may occur at temperatures below 5°C.
Through a series of tests, however, it should be ascertained as to whether foam is being stabilized by this additive before large-scale application starts. The adhesion and cratering should also be evaluated.
BYK® -333 has excellent compatibility. It strongly reduces the surface tension of adhesive systems and increases surface slip.
It also increases anti-blocking properties and considerably improves substrate wetting.
It can be used universally in all systems and well suited for adhesives in comparison to silicone oils.
Its recommended level based upon total formulation is 0.05 - 0.3% in aqueous and UV systems up to 1.
