BYK® -P 104 S

Solution of a lower molecular weight unsaturated polycarboxylic acid polymer and a polysiloxane copolymer. Acts as wetting and dispersing agents. It leads to a controlled flocculation of pigments and bridges are formed between individual pigment particles causing three-dimensional structures to develop. The controlled flocculation of pigments prevents floating, settling, and sagging of pigments. Has limited compatibility with mineral spirits and adhesives diluted with mineral spirits. It contains a small amount of a polysiloxane copolymer to more effectively prevent flooding. BYK® -P 104 S is recommended for solvent-borne adhesives systems and found suitable for solvent-free, water-reducible adhesive systems. Its recommended levels are 3 - 10% inorganic pigments, 10 - 20% organic pigments, 0.5 - 2.5% titanium dioxide.
