BYK® -W 980

BYK® -W 980 by BYK is a solution of a salt of unsaturated polyamine amides and acidic polyesters. Acts as wetting and dispersing agents. Has higher efficiency and anti-settling, viscosity reducing properties. It is universally compatible in many adhesive systems. It improves the dispersion of a wide range of the most commonly used fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminium trihydroxide (ATH). Therefore, a low viscosity is achieved and higher filler load is possible. Furthermore, at the same time sedimentation of the heavy filler particles is prevented. It deflocculates fillers by steric stabilization. BYK® -W 980 is recommended for polyester, PUR, epoxy and acrylic adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.5 - 1.5% based upon filler.
