BYK® -022

BYK® -022 by BYK is a mixture of foam-destroying polysiloxane and hydrophobic solid in polyglycol. Acts as a silicone defoamer. Has high defoaming properties and low compatibility. Due to the high activity, this additive should be incorporated under high shear forces in order to achieve optimal distribution of the defoamer. BYK® -022 is especially suited for polyacrylate- and polychloroprene-based dispersion adhesives and very efficient against microfoam. Used for aqueous adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.05 - 0.5% based upon total formulation.
