BYK® -023

BYK® -023 by BYK is a mixture of foam-destroying polysiloxane and hydrophobic solid in polyglycol. Acts as a silicone defoamer. Due to the high activity, these additives should be incorporated under high shear forces in order to achieve optimal distribution of the defoamer. Otherwise, defects can occur in the system. Temperature for transport and storage must be between 0°C and 40°C. BYK® -023 is preferably used in dispersion and aqueous adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.05 - 0.5% based upon total formulation.
