2-Hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone. It acts as an ultraviolet absorber. It is pale yellowish powder with more than 63°C melting point. It is effective in poly vinyl chloride, vinyldiene chloride, unsaturated polyester, styrene-acrylic resins. It has excellent effect in chlorinated paraffin and adhesives.
