VOC-free 1, 2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT). Acts as an in-can biocide/fungicide/bactericide. It is relatively stable against reducing agents but starts to degrade in the presence of strong oxidizing agents like hydrogen peroxide. It prevents microbial growth. The recommended dose level is 0.1-0.25%. It complies with following regulations: FIFRA, EU directives 1999/13EC, EU directives 2004/42/EC and Blue angel (RAL-UZ-102).
