DOWICIDE™ A Antimicrobial

DOWICIDE™ A by LANXESS is sodium salt of o-phenylphenol, tetrahydrate form. It is used as a preservative in adhesives based on starch, protein, natural & synthetic gums and latexes. It protects adhesives against attack by bacteria and mold during manufacture and storage and throughout their service life. DOWICIDE™ A meets the food additive regulations FDA 21CFR 175.105(c) (5) for adhesives, FDA 21CFR 178.3120(d) (3) for animal glue, and FDA 21CFR 177.1210(b) (5) for closures with sealing gaskets for food containers. It can inactivate isothiazocone products and has E.P.A. Registration No. 464-78.
