Kristalex™ 5140

Kristalex™ 5140 by Synthomer is a low molecular weight resin produced by copolymerization of pure aromatic monomers. It functions as a tackifier. Used in alluminum-pigment preparations, assembly, automotive, building and construction, caulks, sealants and hot-melt adhesives. Compatible with chlorinated paraffins, polystyrene, rosin/ modified rosins, rosin ester, SBR and styrene-based block copolymers. Also suitable for laminating, non-wovens, pressure sensitive adhesives, rubber and plastic modification, solvent-borne adhesives, tapes and labels. Exhibits good thermal stability and intermediate softening point. Kristalex™ 5140 complies with many FDA regulations for applications involving direct contact with food.
