Regalite™ S5090

Regalite™ S5090 by Synthomer is a partially hydrogenated, unique, inert thermoplastic resin derived from petrochemical feedstock. Acts as a tackifier with a specific balance of molecular weight and polarity. Compatible with EVA or EBA copolymers. It has low odor, very good resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation. Its high polarity is combined with the inherent low adhesive viscosity, result in excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polyethylene. Regalite™ S5090 enables the formulation of SIS- and SBS-based hot-melt adhesives with very low viscosity and long open time compared to fully hydrogenated resins. Used in solvent-borne adhesives and sealants for case & carton sealing closings, bookbinding, hygiene, non food contact & specialty tapes, labels and packaging.
