Tacolyn™ 5001

Resin dispersion. Aqueous, 55% solids, solvent free, synthetic resin dispersion based on a water clear, highly color stable, nonpolar, low molecular weight thermoplastic resin. Offers excellent compatibility with a variety of natural and synthetic rubber latexes. Its water clear appearance upon drying and excellent stability bring a new level of performance to the water borne tackifier market. Indicated for use in adhesive, coating, sealant, caulk, textile and apparel applications. Recommended for use in contact adhesive applications as a modifier for polychloroprene latex. Compatible with both anionic and nonionic polychloroprene latexes. Provides a well rounded balance of contact adhesive properties. Imparts excellent contactability, good moisture resistance and superior color stability in polychloroprene latex based adhesives. Provides especially good high temperature performance in polychloroprene latex. Possesses broad compatibility, small particle size, excellent mechanical stability, good moisture resistance, water clear appearance and excellent color stability. Compatible with polychloroprene, styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), high styrene SBR, carboxylated SBR, and acrylic latexes. N.B: should be used under alkaline conditions. If a polymer latex with an acidic pH is used, the latex should be neutralized prior to blending with Tacolyn 5001 resin dispersion.
